Melaka Tengah Health Office is located one kilometer from Malacca Hospital. The health services cover an area of 282.90 km square with a population of 296,897 (estimation in 1997). It is the smallest but the most populous district in Malacca.

A comprehensive health services are provided free by the urban and rural health clinics.

Rural Health Clinics

There are 7 private hospitals, 89 private clinics and 18 private dental clinics in the district. There are also several private pharmaceutical outlets which dispensed prescribed and over the counter drugs.
