The district administration is headed by a Senior Medical Officer of Health. He is helped by a Junior Medical Officer of Health, 2 Health Sisters, a Senior Medical Assistant, a Senior Health Inspector and a Chief Clerk. The health office manages the urban as well as rural health clinics. These clinics are run by the Medical and Health Officers and the para-medics.

To ensure that the health staff are up-dated with the current knowledge and development, in service training is always organised as part of the annual program. This is achieved through internal and external courses.
