Control Program ] The Food Quality Control unit serves to protect the public from health hazards and fraudulent practices associated with the production, sale, distribution and consumption of food.

Advising the food handlers regarding food hygiene in a restaurant and food stall.
The Basic Health Certificate (Sijil Kesihatan Asas) program is jointly organised by the Health Department and the Local Authority. Under the program restaurants and food stalls are graded according to a fixed format. Those given a mark of 75 % and above are given the SKA.
